Description
A335 p12 material composition includes 0.05 – 0.15 carbon max, 0.30 – 0.61 Manganese, 0.025 Sulfur and Phosphorous max each, 0.5 Silicon , 0.80- 1.25 Chromium and up to 0.44-0.65 molybdenum. This type of steel material shall conform to specified chemical composition, tensile property, and hardness requirements. Heat Treatment type Full or Isothermal Anneal Normalize and Temper.
ASTM international A335/ ASME SA 335 p12 grade equivalent grades are BSI 3604/620 and their properties are unique and is often called chrome moly pipe because of the composition of Molybdenum and Chromium. Mo increases the strength and elastic limit of steel and also its resistance to wear, impact qualities, and hardenability is improved a lot.
ASTM A335 p12 Seamless Pipe Ferritic Alloy-Steel Pipes are used for High-Temperature Services for carrying extreme hot gas, fluids or water.
